It might be half the size of Mayones' custom series basses, but the Cali carries the same design philosophy & great tone, playability and highest attention to build quality and ergonomy.

Neck-through-body construction (in both wenge and maple versions), beautiful top woods, highest quality fit & finish – no step has been skipped to ensure that the Cali bass is 100% of the Mayones quality you expect.

It has also one additional feature – the Cali is a perfect travel companion due to its compact size and built-in headphone amp. It’s easy to carry, pack and set up to play everywhere & anywhere.

Mayones' goal and intention is to save as much wood as they can in their production pipeline – Cali is built from leftovers of quality woods they use for their full-size instruments, which are too small to use in a regular-sized instrument. It's available in a limited number of copies per year.

All of our guitars come with a FREE professional setup tailored to your individual tuning and string gauge preferences, if available. Our setups always include action, intonation, trem angle, and truss rod adjustments.  If needed, we smooth out fret edges, address any nut or bridge shim issues, polish the frets, and condition the fingerboard.  All work is completed by our experienced tech team who understand what today's players want from their instruments. If not otherwise requested our techs will setup each instrument to a comfortable medium/low action with minimal truss rod relief dependent on the instrument style. Please reach out after purchase if you have any specific requests about your setup.
