DESCRIPTION

This 2012 Dean Sky Guitar Uli Jon Roth is part of a special run of 50 guitars hand built to the legendary guitarist's specs, with this particular guitar called 'Black Velvet Sky #9.' It was  signed by Uli Jon Roth last year on the back of the headstock, and comes with tons of case candy and the special power supply for the “Mega-Wing III” active pickup system.

Condition: Very good.  Some scratching on the gold pick guard as well as general scratching/wear on the body.  

Tech Notes: Guitar, Hardware, and Electronics have been cleaned/tested and are functioning appropriately. Fretboard cleaned and Frets polished. Super Jumbo frets with plenty of life and no fret wear evident. Setup with minimal neck relief and medium/low action. Plays great throughout the entire neck with consistent intonation. 

Mods/Repairs/Issues: None Evident

Neck Profile: Custom Uli Roth Carve. Definitely unique! Feels like a thin C with slightly asymmetrical on the high string side. Ergonomic and fast playing/access throughout the guitar.

Fingerboard Radius: 10"

Nut Width: 1.71" 

Scale Length: 25.5"

Electronics Layout: Volume x1, Treble EQ (+/- 20db) x1, Mid EQ (+/- 20db) x1 , Bass EQ (+/- 20db) x1, Mini Toggle switch (Coil Split/Humbucker) x1, 5-Way Pickup Selector x1, Led Dimmer control (on back plate) x1. 

**********ELECTRONICS DISCLAIMER ***********

• This guitar has a very unique electronics system/setup unlike most standard guitars. This unit requires the use of a stereo cable and the 18V power supply (both included). 
  
• This preamp has the potential for EXTREMELY high output levels when using the master gain control (100 dB). Aka if not prepared could pop fuses/cause damage to amplifiers. 
• Avoid "Hot Plugging" or plugging/unplugging the guitar will the power supply is in the "on" position. Most of the time nothing should happen, but it's a good practice to avoid a freak current spike which could damage/fry capacitors.

Pickups: Mega-Wing MK III System

String Gauge: 9 - 42

String Spacing: You will notice the high E string is cut (intentionally) farther away from the edge of the neck. Uli chose to do this intentionally to enable full vibrato without the risk of the string slipping off the edge.
