1966 Fender Jazz Bass Refin White
1966 Fender Jazz Bass Refin White
SPECS
Weight: 9.8 lbs
Case: Hardshell Case
Year: 1966
Condition: Very good with some various dings/marks/scratches throughout. Refinish isn't perfect and there are a few areas that show imperfections (see more in the mods/repairs section of our listing). Small hole on the lower horn. Some scratching on metal components. Bit of finish wear on the neck as well.
Tech Notes:
Mods/Repairs/Issues: A subtle neck ramp was addressed with a full-pocket shim and fret leveling/re-crowning above the 12th fret. This eliminated 90% of the fret buzz that was most noticeable on the high G string. You will still notice the slightest fret buzz on sustained notes in the higher register of the G string, however it isn't audible through an amp and no choke out of notes. The frets appear to be original to the instrument. Additional screw hole from what appears to be a strap button on the other horn (most likely a left handed bassist used at one time).
The refinish has a couple of blem spots, like a slight paint drip near the neck plate, but overall it looks pretty good and doesn’t distract from its vintage character/aesthetics.
Neck Profile: Fender C Standard
Neck Thickness: 1st: 0.84" / 12th: 0.99"
Fingerboard Radius: 7.25"
Nut Width: 1.5"
Scale Length: 34"
Electronics Layout: 1 x Volume, 1 x Volume, 1 x Tone
Pickups: Original Vintage Fender Jazz Bass Pickups
String Gauge: 45 - 100
String Spacing: At Nut (10mm String to String, 30mm E/G) At Bridge (20mm String to String, 60mm E/G)
Tools Included: None
Please note: All measurements are taken in-house. While we strive for accuracy, slight variations may occur compared to manufacturer specifications due to the nature of hand-measuring.

INDIVIDUALLY PHOTOGRAPHED
After 15 years of innovation in our photography process, Ish Guitars has developed a way to get you the most accurate true-to-life color of every instrument we sell. We never embellish, oversaturate, or misrepresent our images, so that your buying experience can be as much like visiting our showroom as possible. Keep in mind that various computer screens can show colors a bit differently, so the color on your screen may not match the real thing perfectly no matter how hard we try. Also, unless otherwise noted, we individually list and photo every piece of gear that comes through our doors.
